Position: Waste and Recycling Business and Contracts Coordinator | REQ-1404
Salary From: $123,031 - $137,918 per annum + superannuation + Leaseback vehicle option
Location: Browns Plains Waste and Recycling Facility, QLD, 4118
The role
In this Permanent Full-time position, you will lead and manage the city-wide waste and recycling contract services function. This includes the development waste and recycling procurement strategy, oversight of tender specification development, procurement, and contract management functions.
To ensure effective and efficient delivery of front-line waste and recycling services you will also manage and coordinate the administration and customer service functions.
Reporting to the Program Leader you will support the Waste and Resource Recovery Branch in the development and implementation of waste and recycling initiatives, to deliver on the objectives of the City’s Waste Management and Resource Recovery Strategy.
Key indicators for success:
- To develop, implement, and manage complex and innovative waste and recycling contracts from end-to-end within a dynamic and evolving environment.
- To lead the development of policy and options analysis associated with City wide waste and recycling initiatives.
- Represent the Waste and Resource Recovery Branch as the lead for waste and recycling contract management services.
- Mentor and develop the Administration and Contract teams to be high performing and efficient in a customer centric environment.
- Build collaborative and respectful relationships with key project partners and all stakeholders.
Requirements
You’ll possess
- Possess high-level interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in building and maintaining professional relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.
- Experience in oversight of front-line customers service and administration functions relating to Waste and Recycling services.
- Strong time management skills and self-motivation and the ability to be innovative and forward thinking.
- A relevant qualification (Environmental Health, Environmental Management, Engineering, Business Administration,
- Procurement or similar) or significant equivalent experience.
- Participation in the on-call roster and after-hours duties may be required.
- C Class Drivers Licence.
