Job Title: Compliance and Regulatory Affairs Manager / Senior Manager (securities / brokerage background or knowledge preferred)Location: Singapore
About the Company
Our client is a globally recognized financial services firm with a strong presence in online and execution brokerage. As the business continues to expand across Asia, a newly created opportunity has arisen for a Regulatory Compliance Manager to join their regulatory compliance and affairs team based in Singapore.
Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned compliance professional with deep expertise in Securities and Futures Act (SFA) licensing and regulatory requirements under the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Prior experience in compliance functions related to online brokerage or securities trading-both retail and institutional-is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the regulatory compliance function in Singapore, this role includes oversight across the APAC region. Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the key point of contact with MAS and other relevant regulatory authorities.
- Interpret and advise on evolving regulatory obligations, rules, and guidelines applicable to brokers and capital markets intermediaries in Singapore.
- Draft and implement internal compliance policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to MAS and SGX regulatory standards.
- Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory responses and filings.
- Manage regulatory inspections and audits, including developing and executing remediation plans as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record in regulatory compliance within financial services, exchanges, or regulatory bodies.
- In-depth understanding of Singapore's financial regulatory framework, including the SFA and relevant MAS guidelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technologically savvy, with the ability to integrate compliance processes with digital tools and systems.
- Team-oriented mindset and experience working within small, agile teams.
- Open to learning and evolving in a dynamic, cross-border environment.
